NE Green vote ‘steady’

In the hackneyed politicians’ phrase “it was a good result for use”: Over 34,000 people in the North East voted Green in the Euro-election and the regional Green vote increased by 1% to 5.8%.
North East failing to meet carbon emission targets

A report commissioned by the North East Climate Change Partnership shows that under current policies, regional emissions will have increased to nearly 39 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent by 2050.
